Do I need Xray's ?
Xray’s are not always necessary. Depending on your symptoms and findings, if the doctor deems it necessary she will send you for X-ray’s or laboratory tests. This will be done to aid in your diagnosis and to establish an accurate treatment plan for your condition. If you had previous X-rays done you are welcome to bring them with.
Are chiropractors opposed to medical treatment?
Certainly NOT ! Chiropractors recognise that there are many conditions that frequently only respond to medicine or surgery. When a patient presents with such a condition, the chiropractor will refer you to the appropriate health care practitioner or specialist such as the GP, orthopaedic surgeon or neurologist.
How many treatments will I need?
Not a single patient is the same. There is no set number of treatments. Follow up visits largely depend on the diagnosis and the patients response to treatment. Our preference is to keep the visits to a minimum however some complex problems require a more lengthy treatment solutions.
How long is a consultation?
Initial consultations are 30 min, and follow up visits range between 15-20min.
